Two drivers were killed in a head-on crash on SR 46 in Brevard County, Florida Highway Patrol said.
Troopers say, a Chevrolet SUV driving by a 51-year-old man from Oviedo, was heading the the wrong way on SR 46 near Sweetwater Drive when the vehicle collided with a Ford pick-up traveling westbound.
The head-on collision caused both vehicles to over turn, with the pick-up truck bursting into flames.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 2:30 a.m.
Investigators have not released the name of the driver of the SUV, pending notification of next of kin. The driver of the pick-up is yet to be identified.
Troopers say, toxicology results are being awaited to determine whether or not alcohol played a role in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
