WONO Endorses…….

West Orlando News Online (WONO) announced today its endorsements for the 2010 general election.

WONO is a Central Florida based news and information site, with a dedicated focus on Greater Orlando and its neighbors in Central Florida.  The site offers a fresh alternative to the traditional main stream media that formerly dominated Central Florida.

WONO does not endorse in every race; instead, we support candidates based on the issues we believe are important for moving Florida, including Central Florida forward, and who bring an understanding and sensitivity to minority issues, in particular.  Where appropriate, we also endorse candidates who have a strong track record on the issues.

For the following offices, WONO recommends:

U.S. Senate: Charlie Crist

U.S. Congress:
District 8: Alan Grayson

Governor: Alex Sink

Attorney General: Dan Gelber

Chief Financial Officer: Loranne Ausley

Commissioner for Agriculture & Consumer Services: Scott Maddox

Florida House of Representatives:
District 35: Amy Mercado
District 36: Lawanna Gelzer

Orange County Mayor: Bill Segal
