A woman who claimed she was raped in her home last November was yesterday arrested and charged with filing a false police report, Orlando police said.
Jacquelynne Ashley Thomas, 20, told police she was standing at the door of her home in the 2000 block of Raper Dairy Road, Orlando, when she was forced into her apartment by a two men–one white, the other black–and was sexually assaulted by one of the men, while the other removed her clothes. Thomas claimed that the sexual battery took place on November 26, 2010, around 6:15 a.m.
The victim, provided a detailed description of white male, telling police he has very fair and light skin tone, approximately 6’0″ and was of a thin build. She also told police that the suspect had dark blond hair, a short military haircut, green eyes and was between 25-30 years of age.
Detectives, based on their investigation, found Thomas’ claims regarding rape unfounded and have closed their investigation.
Thomas was arrested and charged with filing a false police report and perjury in an unofficial proceeding. She was booked into the Orange County Jail on Monday night, but has since been released.
