A woman was stabbed to death and a suspect is hospitalized, recovering from a laceration, Orange County deputies said.
Deputies say, two woman became involved in an altercation inside a residence in the 3800 block of Weetamoo Circle off Lake Genie and N. Apopka Vineland Road, on Orange County’s west side.
The women exited the residence and entered a vehicle in the driveway where the argument turned violent. Â A black female was stabbed and transported to Orlando Health/Health Central where she succumbed to her injuries.
Investigators say, the suspect is an adult black female who sustained a laceration to her leg during the altercation. Â She was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center and is in stable condition.
Deputies have not identified the women nor disclosed the relationship between the two. Â The incident happened on Monday around 10:00 p.m.
This is an active homicide investigation, deputies said.
