Orange County deputies are investigating the shooting of a woman on 29th Street near Rio Grande Avenue early this morning.
Detectives were called to the 1600 block of 29th Street just before 5:00 a.m., where they found a woman suffering from a severe gunshot wound.
Orange County Fire Rescue paramedics provided aid to the woman who was transported to a local area hospital for continued critical care.
Deputies said, the woman was accompanied by another individual who is currently being questioned.
The woman has not yet been identified.
