A woman was shot and killed by a man on Friday afternoon following an argument at the Woodhollow Apartments on Kingsgate Drive, Orange County Sheriff’s deputies said. The investigation is active and detectives are looking for a suspect in this case.
According to OCSO:
At 1:15 PM on Friday afternoon the Orange County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call from a man advising the he witnessed a male and female arguing outside an apartment at Kingsgate Drive at the Wood Hollow Apartments. The witness advised that the man forced the woman inside the apartment and then he heard what he believed to be a gunshot.
Deputies responded to the address and found a seriously injured female, the apparent victim of a shooting, and a young child inside the apartment. The child was not injured. The female was transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries.
Witnessed advised that they saw a man leave the apartment and possibly leave the apartment complex in a vehicle.
The investigation remains active and ongoing as investigators are, at this hour continuing to process the crime scene and work leads as they develop.
