A Daytona Beach woman on a bicycle was killed on Tuesday morning, as she rode into the path of a beer truck, Daytona Beach Police said.

31-year-old Kelly Davis, the bicyclist, was heading eastbound on Beville Road when she rode into the rear of a Bud Light truck that was traveling north on U.S. 1.

Witnesses told investigators that the driver of the truck, identified by police as 35-year-old Michael Cotton, of Deland, had the green light.

Police said based on their preliminary investigation, it does not seem that Cotton was at fault, though the investigation is ongoing.

Davis was on her way to a job interview when she died, according to news reports.

The crash happened around 10:30 a.m.
