An Apopka woman, who police say, ran over a man killing him last Saturday, but kept on going, will face a judge Friday.
39-year-old Litasha Stokes was arrested yesterday and booked into the Orange County Jail just after 4:00 p.m. She has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving death and tampering with physical evidence.
Police say, Stokes struck and killed Donald Marion, 49, who was on a bike, near the intersection of Park Avenue and Albatross Street, but never stopped. Marion collided with another vehicle, after Stokes ran over him, accorded to news reports.
Police also say, Stokes tried to remove physical evidence from the Lexus SUV she was driving, following the accident.
Stokes had her 11-year-old daughter in her vehicle at the time of the crash, according to news reports.
In the past, Stokes has had numerous traffic infractions, wftv.com reported.
