Female Friend of Lottery Winner Arrested

At a press conference Tuesday evening, Hillsborough County Sheriff, David Gee, announced that Dorice “DeeDee” Moore, 37, has been charged as an accessory after the fact in the death of Abraham Shakespeare.

Abraham Shakespeare

Moore, has proclaimed her innocence and told News 13 in a televised interview that she did not kill Abraham Shakespeare.

Earlier today, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said that the manner of death of a multi-million dollar Florida lottery winner was “homicidal violence”.

Last week, Abraham Shakespeare’s body was found under a concrete slab in the yard of a Plant City home.

Shakespeare, 43 years, and a Lakeland resident, had won $31 million in the Florida Lottery in late 2006.  He had taken a lump-sum of $17 million.  Sometime last year, he disappeared completely and was last seen around April, friends and family have said.  He was reported missing on November 9th 2009.

Moore had earlier been named as a “person of interest” by the Sheriff’s office.

Shakespeare’s body was found at a home that is owned by Moore’s boyfriend.
