Woman Driving Wrong Way Killed In Fiery Crash In Orange County

 

police-siren-generic19A woman, driving in the wrong direction on State Road 528, was killed early this morning after a head on crash with another vehicle, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers say, the driver of an SUV, was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of State Road 528 near mile marker 22, in Orange County.

James Curtis, 26, of Melbourne, traveling westbound on State Road 528, in a truck, was hit head on by the SUV.  Both vehicles caught fire after the crash.

Troopers have been unable to identify the woman who was killed, due to the burnt condition of her body.  A dog in the SUV, also died on the scene.

Curtis suffered minor injuries.

The crash, which happened around 2:20 a.m. today, remains under investigation.
