A woman was carjacked and kidnapped as she pulled up at a Chevron gas station on Orange County’s east side on Wednesday, Orange County deputies said.

The incident happened at the intersection of Winegard Road and Oakridge Road, just before 10:00 a.m.

Orange County deputies also say, before the woman was able to get out of the 2009 gray Nissan Murano SUV she was driving, she was confronted by a suspect who forced her at gunpoint to move over into the passenger seat.  The man then got into the driver’s seat and robbed the victim of cash and her cell phone.

Deputies also say, the man then drove away in the vehicle with the victim still inside, eventually dropping her off after about 30 minutes.

The woman’s vehicle was found about two miles away from the initial incident; the woman was not hurt.
