Orlando police are searching for two suspects who carjacked a woman on Friday near the Rosemont Community Center on Orlando’s west side.

The woman told police that she encountered two men at a convenience store at Silver Star Road near Powers Drive around 7:30 p.m. The woman also said she became infatuated with one of the men when he opened her car door and began to flatter her. Feeling “pretty”, she said she agreed to take them to a park rather than to her apartment. New to the area, the woman told investigators that the men selected the Rosemont Community Center.

After watching a group play baseball, the woman said, as all three walked along a trail in the park, one of the men placed her in a choke hold while the other took away her car keys and cell phone. She said she passed out during the attack, but regained consciousness and ran toward her vehicle, as it was being driven away.

The woman would later flag down a pizza delivery driver who rendered assistance. She was transported to Health Central for medical treatment, after complaining that her head hurt, as well as her front teeth. There was blood on her mouth, shirt and pants, police said.
