Woman Arrested in Fatal Hit-and-Run Bicycle Crash

dfdPolice have arrested a woman who they say struck and killed a bicyclist, then fled the scene of a crash on north Orange Blossom Trail on Sunday night.

A man, later identified as Steven M. Williams, II, 45, was riding northbound on Orange Blossom Trail, alongside the curb, when he was hit by a driver in an SUV, who had changed lanes.

Adriana K. Valenzuela, 27, the driver of the SUV,  sped away from the scene.

Williams was pronounced dead at the scene by the Orlando Fire Department.

Working on a tip, OPD traffic and homicide detectives found the damaged SUV at a garage. Valenzuela was identified as the hit and run driver and arrested on Monday.

Valenzuela has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving death.  She was booked into the Orange County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
