Emeka Okafor’s 19 points and 11 rebounds led the Washington Wizards to an easy win over the Orlando Magic on Monday night.
Jameer Nelson led the Magic (13-24) with 19 points and 12 assists.
Orlando is now 1-9 over their last 10 and its safe to say their playoff chances have dwindled.
Nikola Vucevic has been one bright spot for the Magic this season. Vucevic finished with 13 points and 13 rebounds in the 120-91 blow out.
The young center is averaging 11.5 points and 11.1 rebounds for the season.
“I’m just trying to play as hard as I can,” Vucevic said post game.
John Wall who has missed most of the season due to injury has brought a spark back to the Wizards in his return.
“It just came out of nowhere — how fast we’re playing now. With John back, the speed is so much faster,” Washington’s Bradley Beal said.
Orlando coming off of its 104-101 win over the Los Angeles Clippers Saturday night didn’t seem very interested in playing the Wizards.
“We just, we got completely outplayed tonight in every aspect of the game. Just didn’t have it tonight,” J.J. Redick said.
The Magic will look to bounce back Wednesday night at home against the Pacers, tip-off set for 7pm.
