Kendrick Meek is a nice guy. He has served his community, he has paid his dues. He aspires to be the next Democratic Senator from Florida.

But, so what?
Do you really see this guy beating the likes of Charlie Crist or Marco Rubio? Is the Florida Democratic Party (FDP) serious?
Meeks is going to get his ass kicked and the FDP will have itself to blame.
As of Feb 1, Rubio was leading Meek with a 17-point lead 49% to 32%, and Crist was ahead 48% to 33%. Who in their right mind believes that Meek, the Democrat can beat either of these Republican candidates, besides the FDP?
Either the FDP is committed to failure and mediocrity or Meek is on an amazing ego trip. The FDP has no intention of running a credible candidate for the seat that Mel Martinez cowered away from.
This seat will be lost for a generation because the FDP thinks its Kendrick Meek’s turn. How in the world can the FDP be so clueless or Meek so arrogant?
The Florida GOP has plundered the Sunshine State.
Florida’s Republicans are synonymous with mediocrity and cronyism and they made the Sunshine State the laughing stock of the nation. The Republican majorities in Florida have led to the largest crew of sitting convicted officials, the worst schools in the nation, 25% of its population uninsured, a declining tourism industry, due to crime and neglect and no sense of leadership from Tallahassee. And, despite this train wreck, the Republicans show no signs of being defeated.
The FDP should dissolve. We’re already a one-party state.
