The 2012 Primary elections are over and once again many African Americans sought election to public office…..and most of the Negroes lost!
Four hundred years after slavery days and too many of the Uncle Toms and Aunt Jemimas lost elections because they lost their minds!
The backwards, reactionary and mindless strategy that caused colored candidates to believe that the white political ice is so much colder and better than Black ice resulted in huge numbers of eligible Black voters ignoring the false promises of Sambo and Jezebel and staying right at home instead of going to the polls.
I know you don’t like for me to write like this but I’m tired of supporting Black candidates that don’t support Black people and don’t support the Black community.
Black candidates that think they are highly qualified to serve in elected office but at the same time believe that no Black person in the world is qualified to provide professional political services to help their campaigns are not only losing candidates, they are traitors to their race!
Today’s Black candidates are very unlike the beloved Black elected officials of the past. You tell me, what Black candidate in your town or your state is better than Adam Clayton Powell was? Who is better than Shirley Chisholm, Harold Washington or Maynard Jackson?
None of the clowns of today that masquerade as Black political saviors!
The Black candidates that put their faith in devilish carpet bagging consultant strategy that says “all Blacks will vote for any Black candidate so you should hire white staffers, contract white political vendors and pay me to get you the white vote” are not only crazy but they are misdirected and confused!
Black voters, just like any other voter, will cast their votes for the best candidates regardless of race, gender, or political persuasion.
All candidates must work hard and fight hard for the Black vote.
The State of Florida is a must win state for both Democratic and Republican federal candidates. The Black vote in Florida will be crucial for any candidate desiring a national victory.
Well, North Florida is perhaps the “blackest” and most Democratic part of the Sunshine State. In the 2012 Primary Election, a plethora of African Americans tried to win elections.
With such large numbers of Blacks on North Florida ballots, guess what happened? The northern part of Florida only turned out about 21% of registered voters, or in other words, perhaps 10% of the total amount of registered and unregistered people that could have voted if they wanted to.
What will happen to President Barack Obama if only 21% of Black people vote for him? In Florida, President Barack Obama would be like an oil spill Red Fish, dead in the water or perhaps like Martin Luther King, good but dead!
Guess one more time. Guess who the Democratic Party runs to for advice on how to turn out Black voters. You guessed it, those same political Amos and Andys that could only turn out 21% of the voters in their own races for election!
They go to the same Chicken George and Fiddler politicians that don’t hire Black campaign staffers, don’t contract Black political professionals, don’t advertise in the Black media and don’t even hire Black caterers to cook their campaign chicken wings!
The love of white political ice and the hatred of Black political ice that resulted in a low 2012 Primary turnout is just the tip of the iceberg, no pun intended.
Al Sharpton can tell you about purging of registered voter rolls, Jesse Jackson can tell you about weird new voter identification requirements but The Gantt report can tell you more.
Even if you are registered and have proper ID, devilish Election Supervisors have changed your polling place to make it more difficult for you to vote. I used to vote at a precinct across the street from my house but in the 2012 Primary I had to drive by three polling places to get to where the devil wanted me to vote!
Politically thinking, it’s hard out here when we are being pimped! Even Shirley Chisholm once said, “There is little place in the political scheme of things for an independent, creative personality, for a fighter. Anyone who takes that role must pay a price.”
The price we pay is even when we think we are voting for ourselves, oftentimes we are voting for nobody!
To some of us, the Black political ice will never be as cold as the white political ice!
