Mayor Dyer will kick off the Light Up UCF event with the Radio City Rockettes. Light Up UCF is a holiday celebration that lasts for 50 nights from November 20 through January 8. Festivities include ice skating, light shows, outdoor holiday movies and attractions.

Mayor Dyer will join the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando and the Hispanic Business Initiative Fund of Florida, Inc. to reveal the names of the 12th Annual Don Quijote Awards finalists and the winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award. The Don Quijote Awards honor the year’s most outstanding entrepreneurs, professionals and community leaders that have made a tremendous contribution to the growth and development of the Hispanic community.
1:00 p.m. Orlando Bridge Transition Center Founder’s Day

Mayor Dyer will celebrate Founder’s Day at the Orlando Bridge Transition Center, honoring founder Bishop Frank Constantino. This Work Release Center is commissioned by the State of Florida to help carefully selected non-violent inmates to establish new and better lives before leaving the Department of Corrections.
6:00 p.m. Parramore Community Garden Harvest Social

Mayor Dyer will celebrate the Parramore Community Garden’s fall harvest and all the hard work of the Parramore residents, volunteers, gardeners and partners. The Parramore Garden is a collaborative effort between Parramore residents, the City of Orlando Office of Community Affairs, the Orlando Police Department, Orange County Health Department and Get Active Orlando.

Mayor Dyer will attend the Jewish National Fund’s Tree of Life dinner to honor Dr. Deborah German, Rasesh Thakkar and Rabbi Emeritus Rudolph J. and Rose Adler for their involvement and dedication to the Jewish community of Central Florida.
