A man who robbed a Wells Fargo Bank on Tuesday, was subsequently arrested on a Lynx bus, Orange County deputies said.
Investigators say, a man walked into the Wells Fargo Bank at 9492 S. Orange Blossom Trail just after 11:00 a.m., handed a note to one of the tellers and demanded cash. He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, fleeing across the street to change his shirt, deputies said.
Witnesses reported a short time later that they spotted the suspect boarding a Lynx bus.
Patrol deputies were able to stop the bus at 9393 S. Orange Blossom Trail, removed the passengers and arrested the man.
Timothy P. Jones, 50, of Orlando has been identified as the suspect. Deputies were able to recover the money stolen from the bank.
Jones was arrested and charged with robbery with a firearm and grand theft. He was booked into the Orange County Jail around 5:00 p.m., Tuesday.
