Workforce Central Florida (WCF) will join the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs’ “Hero 2 Hired” to provide Central Florida Guardsmen and Reservists, employment related services at an event in the downtown Orlando area August 2, 2012. Service members and their spouses are encouraged to attend and receive personal assistance from WCF’s Veteran Services staff, discover the Hero 2 Hired program and utilize both the Workforce Central Florida Mobile Job Assistance Unit and the Hero 2 Hired Mobile Job Store (MJS.)
WCF Veteran representatives will be in attendance to assist with job leads, online applications, registering with the Employ Florida Marketplace, resume assistance and providing information on additional programs offered to veterans. Sgt. Maj. Wayne Bowser, Sr., Senior Enlisted Advisor for Family and Employer Programs and Policy in the Pentagon’s Office of Reserve Affairs, will be in attendance to demonstrate H2H program tools and functionalities.
