Orange County is offering residents the chance to empower themselves against scams at the Taking the CON Out of Consumer workshop during National Consumer Protection Week on March 6th.
In celebration of National Consumer Protection Week, the Orange County Consumer Protection Office will share how attendees can avoid scams, fraud, and illegal business practices.
The event will be a forum featuring speakers from various state and county consumer protection agencies, who will be available to answer any questions you may have after their presentations.
Speakers include Steven Bulinski, Program Supervisor, Orange County Consumer Protection Office; Alex Bell, Investigations Supervisor, Florida Dept. of Business & Professional Regulation; and, Lenora Spence, Consumer Advocate, Florida Dept. of Agriculture & Consumer Services.
A light refreshment will be provided. Online registration is required.
