A 15-year-old girl was shot in the back seat of van as she drove with her parents on Sunday evening on Orange County’s east side.
Orange County investigators said, the girl’s father was driving westbound around 6:30 p.m. on North Lane when shots rang out. He attempted to get out of the area by turning north onto Powers Drive.
The gunfire broke the rear window of the van and the teen was struck by a bullet, investigators say. She was taken to the Orlando Regional Medical Center, then transferred to Arnold Palmer Hospital.
The family has not been identified nor is the condition of the teen known.
Investigators are looking for a charcoal-colored Equinox and a tan Sedan.
