Voters to Rally Against Scott’s Medicaid Scheme

Outraged Florida voters will rally outside Gov. Rick Scott health care chain of offices, demanding that he halts his scheme to steal taxpayer dollars.

A group called the Outraged Orlando Citizens will protest on Friday at one of the Scott’s offices, Solantic Urgent Care at Fashion Square Mall.

The group claims that Scott’s push to privatize Medicaid in Florida is a thinly veiled attempt to funnel money out of the state and into the governor’s own bank account.

“Governor Scott’s Medicaid scheme isn’t about the budget or the economy,” a statement from the group said. “He claims the state is broke–and then pushes legislation that drains the coffers for his own gain while simultaneously giving hundreds of millions in new tax breaks to big corporations.”

Voters are fed up and want politicians to stop playing games and instead work together to improve the economy for all Floridians, the statement said.

Protests are planned outside all Solantic facilities across the state.
