Florida lottery officials recently announced a DeLand resident won $1 million from a Gold Rush Limited scratch-off lottery ticket. The winning was sold in Ocoee.
Jose Dominguez Rios, from Volusia County, reportedly decided to take a one-time, lump sum of $795,000 instead of multiple payments for more money.
Lottery officials said the winning ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven located at 331 W. Silver Star Road. For selling winning lottery tickets, businesses get a bonus commission too.
There have been a few Central Florida millionaire winners lately, including a Lake County resident from Groveland, a Seminole County resident from Sanford, another Lake County man from Astatula, and another Seminole County resident from Longwood.
