Viva Jazz Comes to Orlando

Viva Jazz, the first-ever Latin Jazz series in Orlando, kicks off May 20 at 4:30 at Lake Eola Park. Presented by jetBlue, the free event features international Latin jazz greats Charlie Sepulveda and Paoli Mejias as well as a local jazz act from the Latin Music Institute.

Viva Jazz is being produced by Bauza & Associates, a full-service Hispanic marketing agency, in conjunction with Pedro Zorilla who produces the famous Ventana al Jazz in San Juan, Puerto Rico and Jazz Haven in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

“We are very proud to be bringing Viva Jazz Orlando to Lake Eola as it not only has great cultural importance, but will also benefit the economic development in downtown Orlando,” said Hector Bauza, CEO and president of Bauza & Associates. “We appreciate all of our sponsors and the city of Orlando for their support in bringing this type of event here for the first time.”

The concert will kick off at 4:30pm with a special performance from the Jazz Band for Kids. Following their performance, students from the Latin Music Institute will be taking the stage. Attendees will be able to enjoy some of Orlando’s own musicians before the headliners round out the evening.

Festival-goers can also enjoy fare from some of the city’s best food trucks, such as Feast Beast, which specializes in traditional Brazilian dishes that are sure to please. Rums of Puerto Rico will be hosting a beer garden, offering various selections of beer, wine, and other alcoholic beverages for purchase.

This installment of the concert will benefit the Ricky Martin Foundation, which “advocates for the well-being of children around the globe.”

This event is also supported by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Osceola Chamber of Commerce, Univision, Jose 98.1, Telefutura Orlando, Popular Community Bank, and Courtesy Chevrolet.
