A suspected burglar got a nasty surprise when he tried to break into a Palm Bay home, as residents of the neighborhood caught, beat, kicked and tased him, successfully thwarting the invasion and handing him over to law enforcement officials afterward.
Michael Maxwell, of Palm Bay, was charged with one count of home invasion robbery with a firearm or deadly weapon and four counts of battery after police were called about 1 a.m. Wednesday, to a home in the 700 block of Monterey Drive, to investigate a disturbance, Florida Today reports.
A 17-year-old who also accompanied Maxwell, was also arrested and charged with the same crimes, Florida Today also reported.
