Veterans, Active Military Get Free Admission to Central Florida Zoo for Veterans Day

The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens and VyStar Credit Union are proud to honor the military community by offering free admission to all veterans and active military members on Saturday, November 11th, and Sunday, November 12th.

This event, which is sponsored by VyStar Credit Union, is the third consecutive event of its kind, celebrating those who have served and continue to serve our country.

“A free day at the Zoo is the least we can do for the individuals who serve and protect our country,” said Richard E. Glover, Jr., CEO of the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens. “We’re excited to be partnering with VyStar Credit Union again to honor veterans and active military, and we look forward to seeing many military families at the Zoo on Nov. 11 and 12.”

Veterans can also take advantage of a buy-one-get-one offer for up to six tickets (three purchased, three free) to make memories with family and friends Nov. 11th and 12th. The offer is valid for all active duty and current guard/reserves as well as non-active duty, retirees and veterans. Military members must simply show a valid military I.D. or DD214 at the gate.

The offer is only available in-person at the Zoo. It is not redeemable online. For more information, visit the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens.

“We are delighted to provide active-duty military, veterans and their families with the opportunity to enjoy the flora and fauna at the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens on Veterans Day weekend,” said VyStar SVP, Market President Lysa Barbano. “VyStar was founded in 1952 as a place to help military and civil service members meet their financial needs. Our commitment to the military is just as strong today. We proudly recognize the strength of our military community and are honored to participate in Veterans Day celebrations across Florida and Georgia.”

VyStar continues to expand its footprint in Central Florida, where the credit union will soon have more than 15 branches. The Winter Park branch opened in August 2023. The Altamonte Springs branch is scheduled to open this December followed by Lake Nona in 2024.
