Detectives arrested two Lakeland brothers on Thursday, charging each with multiple counts of possession of child pornography.
Brian James Craft, 29, and Thomas James Craft, 30, both of whom live with their mother in the 5200 block of Dismuke Drive in Lakeland, were taken into custody after investigators say, the pair downloaded and distributed child pornography from two computers, inside the home.
Detectives served a search warrant at the home, and seized the computers being used to distribute the images and movies depicting children involved in sex acts. Investigators describe the photographs as “very graphic.”
Both Craft brothers admitted to detectives to downloading and distributing the images on their individual computers.
Brian Craft has been charged with 22 counts of possession of obscene material depicting a child.
Thomas Craft faces 16 counts of possession of obscene material depicting a child.
Brian and Thomas Craft were booked into the Polk County Jail.
“The Craft brothers are very sick individuals. Anyone who derives pleasure from looking at children engaged in sex acts needs to be locked up. Hopefully we were able to catch these two before they were able to prey upon any children, but our investigation is still ongoing. If we find that these brothers committed any other crimes, you can rest assured they will be appropriately charged,” said Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd.
