Update: Man Arrested,Violates Injunction

UPDATE

Mr. Jerrold Gabriel was arrested in a supermarket parking lot on Maquire Road just before 6:30 PM Thursday evening for violating the provisions of a domestic violence injunction.

Deputies learned of the injunction following their early morning encounter with Gabriel after he appeared on the campus of West Orange High School and implied that he was in possession of a Glock pistol when he spoke with an employee of the school.

Deputies located Gabriel later that morning and, after stopping his vehicle near the intersection of Maquire Road and West Highway 50 determined that he was not in possession of a weapon and that he had not been issued a trespass warning for West Orange High School campus.Further investigation did reveal that a domestic violence injunction had been filed against him.  A portion of that injunction prohibited Gabriel from being on West Orange High School property.  Deputies took Gabriel into custody for violating the injunction after securing a warrant for his arrest late Thursday afternoon.

He was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Orange County Jail earlier this evening.  He is, at this time, being held without bond.
