Universal Orlando Resort will open the Great Movie Escape, which will include two escape room experiences, this fall. Universal is adding the Great Movie Escape to CityWalk, their entertainment area located between Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure.
While there are not many details yet, Universal said the “escape adventures” will be inspired by Jurassic World and Back to the Future – and that they will be “next-level.” Universal Orlando is also promising innovative storytelling and theming that will match the existing brand of the resort. Central Florida tourists will soon have another entertainment option in addition to the theme parks.
“Universal’s Great Movie Escape will bring two distinct and extraordinary escape adventures to the heart of Universal CityWalk,” Universal Orlando Resort posted. “Through interactive state-of-the-art missions, captivating storytelling and intricately detailed sets, guests will be swept into the dinosaur adventures of Jurassic World or the time-traveling chaos of Back to the Future as they solve their way through a multi-sensory experience like no other.”
They also said the creative team behind the escape rooms are the same people who are responsible for Halloween Horror Nights.
