UCF Paper Spotlights Orange County Latino Health Disparities

The Charge News at UCF recently spotlighted Orange County Latino health disparities.




Claire Macchiarola, from the University of Central Florida, wrote in the school paper:

Despite the growing Latino population in Orange County, most recent studies reveal that health disparities within this community have continued.

Dr. Fernando Rivera, UCF professor of sociology and director of the Puerto Rico Research Hub, specializes in health inequalities and said that Latinos often lack equal access to healthcare.
