A U.S. mail carrier was the victim of an attempted armed robbery on Tuesday, and deputies would like the public’s help in identifying the robbery suspect.
The postal worker told investigators she had just finished delivering mail on Tangelwood Drive near Walgreens at 3298 South John Young Parkway in Kissimmee, when she was approached by an unknown black male who demanded her vehicle and keys at gunpoint.
Investigators say, the mail carrier was able to drive away and call for help. Deputies searched the area with the help of Aviation and K-9 Units, but were unable to locate a suspect.
The suspect is described as a black male, 20-25 years old, approximately 6’0” tall with a thin build. His complexion is dark and he had a noticeable gap between his front teeth. He was wearing long shorts and a zip up sweater with green, yellow and black colors.

In addition, the the U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
