U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Tampa to Visit Port of Tampa Bay

The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Tampa will visit the Port of Tampa Bay on Friday morning.




Cmdr. Walter Krolman, Tampa’s commanding officer, Tampa’s crew, and the American Legion “U.S.S. Tampa” Post 5 are set to be there when Tampa and crew members visit the Port of Tampa Bay.

An event is set for Cruise Terminal #6 at Port of Tampa Bay, 1101 Channelside Drive, Tampa, FL at 10am.






USCGC TAMPA is homeported in Portsmouth, Virginia. TAMPA regularly executes a variety of Coast Guard missions, to include Drug Interdiction, Search and Rescue, Living Marine Resources, and Migrant Interdiction. TAMPA is homeported alongside eight of her sister ships: BEAR, HARRIET LANE, NORTHLAND, SPENCER, SENECA, ESCANABA, FORWARD, and LEGARE.

TAMPA normally deploys for two to three months, followed by similar in-port periods. TAMPA routinely patrols in many exciting locations, including the Caribbean, Eastern Pacific, and Eastern Seaboard.
