Typical Florida: Man struck, killed by hit and run driver

 

hit-and-runFlorida Highway Patrol troopers are searching for a hit and run driver who left a man to die just off the roadway Sunday, in Osceola County.

Troopers said, a 65-year-old pedestrian was found dead on the west shoulder of US 441, north of Carrol Street just before 8:00 a.m.

It is unknown in which direction the vehicle was traveling when the man was struck and killed.

The vehicle is described as a dark green vehicle and the passenger (right) sideview mirror will be missing, troopers said. There may also be right, front damage to the vehicle.

The name of the deceased has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.

The crash remains under investigation.
