Two UF Students Die in Cave Rappelling Incident

Two students from the University of Florida died in Georgia on Saturday, after rappelling into a waterfall and getting stuck under the frigid water.

Authorities say the two men are, Michael Pirie, 18, and Grant Lockenbach, 20 years and they apparently died of hypothermia.

Pirie and Lockenbach were with 10 other students exploring Ellison’s cave in the north Georgia mountains near LaFayette at the time of the incident.
