Two drivers were killed in a wrong-way head-on crash on State Road 50 on Friday night, Florida Highway Patrol said.
Troopers said, for an unknown reason, a 75-year-old Winter Park man, driving a 2008 Lexus, was heading westbound on State Road 50, in the eastbound lane, just before 9:00 p.m.
At around the same time, a 19-year-old teen from Lake Mary, in a 2002 Honda Accord, was traveling eastbound, just west of State Road 520.
As the Lexus was traveling in the wrong direction, both vehicles crashed head on.
Both drivers were airlifted to the Orlando Regional Medical Center where they were pronounced dead.
Troopers have not released the identity of the deceased drivers.
The crash remains under investigation.
