An elderly driver and a motorcyclist were killed after the two collided in Lake County on Monday, Florida Highway Patrol said.
The deceased are, 76-year-old Gary Stewart and Lonnie Raynor, 44, both of Paisley, Florida.
Troopers said, Raynor, driving a 2007 Mitsubushi, was going at a high rate of speed east on County Road 42, when Stewart, attempting to make a left turn from Ohio Street onto County Road 42, pulled into his path. Raynor’s motorcycle struck the left side of the Ford pickup Stewart was driving. Â After the initial impact, the pickup overturned onto its roof, troopers said.
Both Stewart and Raynor died on the spot.
Philip Witmer, 64, of Paisley, a passenger in the pickup, suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Troopers said, the crash remains under investigation.
