Two Florida Congressmen Get Two Different Grades on Scorecard

Two Florida Congressmen recently got two very different grades on a legislative scorecard.

Republican Representative Cory Mills and Democratic Representative Maxwell Frost were recently graded by End Citizens United Action Fund. One aced the test and one failed badly.

It was on corruption, special interests, and voting rights so the results may not shock voters, but it’s a sign of one political message to expect.

According to reports from NewsInFlorida, Republican Representative Cory Mills earned an “F” on the scorecard and Orlando Representative Maxwell Frost earned an A+ on the scorecard.

Republicans will likely ignore the results, and Democrats, especially progressives like Rep. Frost, will use it to motivate activists and volunteers during the election season. The Democratic Party is targeted Rep. Mills’ district, and Rep. Maxwell Frost is a leader in the party rallying the left and hoping to boost turnout in Central Florida and beyond.

End Citizens United has been dedicated to combating what they say are the two biggest challenges facing American democracy: the corrosive impact of Big Money in politics and attempts to block access to the ballot box.

That’s why this latest legislative scorecard likely did not surprise anyone. But the Republican target in Florida seems clear.
