Turner Construction Company has been selected as the Construction Manager at Risk for the Florida Citrus Bowl reconstruction.
The Orlando Company was selected from a field of eight proposals and was approved by the Venues Blueprint Office for compliance with the Venues Blueprint and City M/WBE programs. Three other Orlando-based companies were short-listed: Austin/Hardin Joint Venture; Skanska USA Building, Inc. and Barton Marlow/PCL, a Joint Venture.
The Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium will undergo reconstruction at a cost of approximately $175 million. The project is expected to include, but may not be limited to the demolition and reconstruction of the lower and mid bowls of the stadium; approximately 65,000 seats, including 5,000 temporary seats; 4,000 club seats and new suites; new and enhanced concession areas, locker rooms, restrooms and associated utilities and enhanced patron accessibility.
