A tornado watch remains in effect for most of the region until 10:00 pm.
Orange County’s Emergency Operations Center is currently at Level 2 activation, meaning key positions are staffed, including full time emergency managers.
Heavy rains are expected through Friday and into the weekend with potential for localized flooding.
As of 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Orange County Public Works and Fire Rescue officials who have been patrolling streets and checking drainage systems to assess any damage and flooding have reported few downed limbs and very isolated flooding.
