Troopers are looking for a driver who ran over a pedestrian in the roadway, but who fled the scene of a crash on Orange Blossom Trail near 39th Street early on Sunday morning.
The unknown female pedestrian was attempting to cross Orange Blossom Trail just before 3:30 a.m., when she was struck by 49-year-old Eduardo Grinaire Vincente, of Orlando. Troopers say, Vincente initially stopped, got out of his vehicle, but then took off from the scene. He eventually called law enforcement around 8:30 a.m., and was arrested for leaving the scene of a crash.
Meanwhile, troopers say, Kimberly Morgenbesser of Maryland, who was also heading southbound on Orange Blossom Trail, saw the crash and stopped to assist the victim. Her vehicle was hit by a woman driving a Ford Taurus who fled the scene, but not before running over the victim in the roadway. Trooper are still looking for the woman who was driving this vehicle.
The victim was also run over by yet another vehicle going southbound on Orange Blossom Trail. This driver, 23-year-old Yasmani Faonseca, stayed at the scene to assist, troopers also said.
Florida Highway Patrol is awaiting video from nearby businesses at the crash site.
