A Volusia County woman was killed early this morning as she walked eastbound on US-92, near the Interstate-4 exit ramp, Florida Highway Patrol said.

47-year-old Bridgett Davis, of Hawthorne, was pronounced dead on the scene after she was struck by three vehicles, two of which fled the area, troopers also said.

Davis was walking eastbound on US-92 in the left lane when she was first hit by a 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by Nathan Camburn, 31, of Deland.   She was thrown into the outside lane of US-92 and was again struck by two vehicles which fled the scene.

Troopers believe that the second vehicle to hit Davis is a Honda, while the third vehicle is described as a white one.

Anyone with information on this crash is urged to contact Florida Highway Patrol at # 407-737-2213.   Troopers said, the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
