A marketing gimmick came to an abrupt end in New York City on Wednesday, after Trojan was forced to shut down its vibrator giveaway.
The city said the company did not have the requisite permits to operate the carts.
Trojan, over the two-day event, had plans to give away 10,000 of the company’s condom vibrators which come in two varieties, the “Vibrating Tri-Phoria” and “Vibrating Pulse intimate massager,” according to the company, dna.com reports.
The company is in talks with the city regarding the proper permits. It is not clear whether or not the promotion will be re-started.
