A tow truck driver was killed on Thursday after being pinned to the undercarriage of an RV that he was repairing, Orange County Sheriff’s deputies said.
Investigators said, 24-year-old Jonathan Roig, of Orlando, died at Cummings Power South, on 4820 N. Orange Blossom Trail, when an RV he was repairing, rolled, pinning him to its undercarriage.
Roig, had dropped off the RV earlier for service and gone to an area to accomplish the drop. He returned sometime later to complete additional tasks, unbeknown to his fellow workers on the vehicle.
Preliminary indications are that during the time Roig was working on the undercarriage, the RV rolled, pinning him to the undercarriage and preventing his escape.
Roig was pronounced dead on the scene.
Deputies are continuing with their investigation.
