Orange County sheriff’s deputies responded to three robberies within a 30-minute time period early on Thursday morning and detectives believe that two of them may be connected.
On May 6th, at approximately, 12.12 am, detectives responded to the first robbery where two black male suspects enter the McDonalds at 8195 S John Young Parkway. One jumped the counter and demands money from the on duty manager, another demanded valuables from customers inside the fast-food chain. A third black male suspect was believed to be on the lookout at door. The suspects fled on foot at 12:22 am, with undisclosed amounts of cash.
The second robbery occurred at 12:26 am, when a black male suspect and a Hispanic male demanded money from a victim in the Econolodge parking lot at 8373 International Drive. The victim was shot by one of the suspects and taken to a local hospital. He is believed to be in stable condition.
At 12:48 am, a man was returning to his hotel at 8501 Palm Parkway, from a convenience store, when he was approached by a black male and a Hispanic man. The thugs produced a handgun and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Detectives are continuing with their investigation and not releasing the names of the victims yet.
