Tourists Battered, Robbed at Hotel Off I-Drive

Police are searching for a man who entered the Orlando Continental Plaza Hotel on Visitors Circle off International Drive and battered and robbed two female tourists on Tuesday.

According to Orlando Police, the female tourists were sitting in their hotel room at 6825 Visitors Circle with the door ajar, around 6:00 pm on Tuesday, when a man walked into the room and closed the door behind him.  While the women were not raped, they were battered and robbed by the suspect.

The suspect was captured on surveillance video and was seen leaving the location in a white Ford Explorer.

Police said that two home invasions occurred at this very hotel a few months ago, but they say this incident is not related to the previous ones. There are no similarities to the other home invasion robberies, except for the location.

Anyone with information on this home invasion robbery is asked to call Crimeline at 1-800-423-8477.  Callers may remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
