Tot Mom, Casey Anthony could be put to death if convicted for the murder of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee.
Today, the State Attorney’s Office did an about face and have decided that they would be pursuing the death penalty against Tot Mom.
Initially prosecutors had decided not to pursue the death penalty.  Subsequently, that changed on December 11, based on the evidence.  The body of little Caylee was found quite close to the Anthonys home.
Moreover, prosecutors say that since December 5Â there is sufficient aggravating circumstances that justify their seeking the death penalty against Tot Mom for the premeditated murder of her daughter Caylee, last June.
Tot Mom has said that her daughter was kidnapped by a nanny named Zenaida Gonzales, although there has been no evidence supporting these claims.
The trial is set for October 2009.
