A tornado which swept across several Florida counties on Wednesday, overturned a semi tractor trailer on the entrance ramp to I-95 in Brevard County, troopers said.
FHP said, Robert T. Wynne, 41, was traveling southbound on the entrance ramp to I-95 from the rest area near the 126 Mile Marker when the tornado swept across, overturning the tractor trailer onto it’s left side. The truck ended up in the grassy area between the on-ramp and I-95.
Wynne told troopers that he saw the tornado approaching, but it happened so quickly he couldn’t avoid it. He was transported to Parrish Medical Center with minor injuries.
The tornado also downed light poles, signs and large trees in several counties.
