A 21-year-old woman died early on Saturday morning on Mullet Road, near the SR 401bridge in Brevard County, after her vehicle overturned into a canal.
Troopers say, Brittany Williams of Titusville, was driving a Honda Accord when she rounded a curve and drove off the edge of a seawall and into a canal. The vehicle sunk to the bottom of the canal.
Williams was pulled from the vehicle by divers and transported to the Cape Canaveral Hospital where she was pronounced dead. She was not wearing a seat-belt.
FHP say, toxicology results are being awaited to determine whether alcohol played a role in the accident, which occurred around 2:30 a.m.
