A tip led local officers to confiscate illegal drugs and firearms in Winter Park.
Officers from the Winter Park Police Department Street Crimes Unit recently executed a search warrant on a N Capen Avenue residence after receiving a tip from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
During the course of the investigation, officers discovered illegal drugs, to include trafficking amounts of cocaine, along with several illegal firearms and ammunition.
The investigation also led to several arrests, according to local law enforcement.
The Winter Park Police Chief applauded officers working the Orange County case using the tip from Polk County. The Winter Park Police Chief acknowledged “how their direct efforts continue to ensure that Winter Park remains a safe and better community for all.”
The operation illustrates the collaboration among law enforcement organizations throughout Central Florida.
