Paying wages “north of $50,000,” Time Warner CFO John Martin announced Tuesday the company will add 500 Florida jobs as it expands its human resources and payroll center in the Tampa Bay area.
Flanked by Gov. Rick Scott, Martin said the company chose Tampa over a host of other cities including Atlanta to consolidate some human resources operations.
“While perhaps the shared services center may not have the same degree of glitz and glammor as the Warner Bros. studio or the CNN newsrooms in Atlanta and New York, I’m here to say it is no less important,” Martin said.
State and local officials provided about $3 million in economic incentives to lure the company, which is considering sites in Tampa and Temple Terrace.
